Van Aalsburg provides itself with all needed equipment. Whether it involves the transport of 22 metered weips (the bundles of brushwood for fascine mattresses) or large amounts of brushwood. Whether it is the use of mobile cranes or tracked vehicles with cranes, the equipment is always available.
Tractor or crane ship, truck or tracked vehicle
New osier fields are planted with the self-built machine, that can be transformed into a harvest machine used during wintertime. Own tractors are used to perform the additional work. In wet conditions, the tracked cranes can transport the wood under all circumstances.
Mobile cranes are used to load and unload the own trucks. The same cranes are used during the processing of fascine mattresses.
Diseases and pests in the plantations are prevented and destroyed with the help of our special sprayer, which can spray more than 6 meters high.
Because working in the osier fields is often on or nearby water, we have different floating equipment at our disposal: from light weight, stable aluminum containers and boats, to small crane vessels to transport brushwood in tidal areas.
The osier wood trade is a very specialized branch in which Van Aalsburg has all expertise, at Van Aalsburg we say “when needed equipment is not available on the market, we build it ourselves”.
