Rootstocks for grafting
Trees in the horticultural industry are mostly grafted on rootstocks. Benefits of this way of grafting are that more (fruit)harvest can be produced, less diseases will appear and the trees are easier to cultivate and prune.
Rootstocks are carefully selected willow twigs, which are first selected with harvesting the osier fields. Because these rootstocks have to comply with strict quality standards, the staff of Van Aalsburg is specially trained to sort out and cut out this first quality wood. Our company is affiliated with NAK Horticulture (quality monitoring in the horticultural industry) under number 72432.
Rootstocks can be sawn or cut to various heights, as required by the customers in the horticultural industry. To provide quality rootstocks, Van Aalsburg has a range of plantations with various Salix types. With our 10-years experience in supplying rootstocks, we can ensure delivery of the highest quality, without damage or disease, in very small or very large amounts.
