Traditional knowledge and modern working methods
Driving on the dike along the river Waal, between Gorinchem and Waardenbug, one easily can see what they are working on: at the Van Aalsburg plant in Hellouw, huge amounts of brushwood is piled up. What started as a sole proprietorship, has grown into a family business with 35 to 85 employees, depending on the season.
Specialized in various willow wood and brushwood products like fascine mattresses, woven willow fences, revetments, dust fences and rootstocks.

With own plantations, specialist equipment and craftsmanship in wicker working, Van Aalsburg is one of the few remaining commercial brushwood traders in the Netherlands.
We are proud to say that traditional knowledge aligns with modern working methods and business management.
